MOT Online Learning is an e-learning website that provides online courses for MOT testers, MOT managers and vehicle technicians. We provide training courses for you to take on our website, including the CPD training and assessment. This privacy policy explains how we use and store any personal information when you use our site.  When purchasing any of our courses you will be asked to provide personal details in order to create an account on our site.

If you purchase a course through MOT Skills UK ltd, please refer to their privacy policy here. To register or make a purchase on the Website, we ask for your name and email address in order to set up your account.  We will also store the results of your assessments relating to our online training.  When you make a purchase, our payment provider, will also collect and process your payment details. We may also keep a record of the communication if you contact us.

How will we use this information about you?

We collect information about you to process your orders, communicate with you and also manage your online account. MOT Online Learning will not share your information for marketing purposes with any other companies outside of MOT Online Learning. If you consent to subscribing to our email communications we will send you email alerts which may include DVSA updates, and other important information that we think you should know, and reminders on when a course may need ot be completed. We never pass your personal details to a third party unless we have a contract for them to process data on our behalf and will otherwise keep it confidential. The Processing of this data is necessary for the purposes ensuring the delegate is provided with the right qualification/accreditation or training.

You are responsible for keeping this password confidential. We will not share you password with anyone, and only change it should you personally request through us to reset it.

As said above, when you access our site we may collect information about you in terms of your IP address, where you came to our website from, the pages you have visited and how you interact with our site. We use cookies to provide us with this information, and also to re-target ads. If you choose to receive marketing communications from us, the information you give us will be shared with Mailchimp who we use to send out our communication emails. To read their privacy policy click here.  If we intend to refer a student to an awarding body or DVSA or to secondary awarding body such as ABC Awards, we will gain the individual’s permission before the referral is made and the personal data is shared. When taking an official Assessment, we use ABC Awards for the exam and accredited qualification. By purchasing the exam on our site, your details are shared with ABC Awards in order for them to allow you to sit your exam, and for them to process your certification. On special occasions we may have to share a delegates/candidates information with the organisation of DVSA. By the government law we may have to on occasions do so without your permission but this will only be such information such a certification or claim date, please refer to the DVSA privacy policy here.
